(Aygofetes) French Toast with anthotyro cheese and thyme honey



Hello there! Weekend is almost here and today I have a simple breakfast recipe for you.

French toast is an ancient recipe.. Although it is known as french toast, this recipe has been cooked for ages all over the world.
I think that it's a very good choice for kids breakfast.


Ingredients (2 people) 

4 thin slices of bread (not fresh bread)
2 eggs
1 / 2 cup milk
1 / 2 teaspoon salt
1 / 2 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons softened anthotyro cheese (you can use ricotta instead)
2 tablespoons thyme honey
A few pistachios rouphly chopped
Ground Cinnamon

Directions

Using a bowl Whisk the eggs with milk, salt and sugar.Usong a biscuit cutter of your chioce cut the shapes and dip them in egg mixture on both sides.
Coat a skillet  with some olive oil and place over medium heat. Cook the avgofetes on both sides until you get this perfect golden-brown color of deliciousnes!
Serve them stuffed with the soften cheese, drizzle with honey and sprinkle the pistachios and cinnamon.
