Chocolate Bars with Dried Fruits, Nuts and Honey
Hello
there! Did you have a good time with your loved ones yesterday? I have
to admit that I've never ever celebrated Valentines Day.. I think it's
not for me.. Anyway.. You have to try these lovely chocolate bars, they
are so decadent and full of goodness! Keep them in the fridge and enjoy
them anytime you want!
Ingredients (for a small square pan)
300 g semisweet chocolate
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup toasted almonds roughly chopped
1/2 cup toasted hazelnuts roughly chopped
1/2 cup pistachios roughly chopped
1/2 cup toasted sesame seeds
3 tablespoons honey
The zest of one orange
1 teaspoon of cinnamon
3-4 chopped dried apricots
3-4 chopped dried figs
3-4 chopped prunes
How to make
Chop the chocolate into pieces and melt in double boiler along with a tablespoon of olive oil.
Whisk in food processor half of the nuts to make them ground. Mix the nuts with the rest which are roughly chopped. Add the dried fruits, sesame seeds and cinnamon.
Cover a baking pan with parchment paper.
Add the melted chocolate into the fruit and nut mixture. Mix thoroughly with a spatula.
Finally add the honey and stir.
Spread the mixture into the pan, place on top another piece of parchment paper and press with your hands to flatten the surface.
Place in refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
When you are ready to serve, flip the pan and remove the parchment papers. Cut using a large knife first into strips and then into bars.

Enjoy!!!
